  • What is FragalyseQt?

Well, FragalyseQt is a free (AGPLv3) and crossplatform (Linux, macOS, *BSD, Windows, x86, ARM, RISC-V…) soft for non-invasive capillary electrophoresis data analysis, capable of handling CE data independently from machine they were obtained at (even extremely old and undocumented versions of ABIF are supported), correct baseline, align size ladder (and evade dye blobs), denoise signal, sizecall fragments, bin alleles and filter stutters. It can import panel definitions from GeneMapper, GeneMarker and NCBI OSIRIS. It also supports exporting profiles in CODIS CMF 3.2 format. Sessions can be stored in a database with information for integrity checks – if session fails integrity check on restore, it can be opened only as read-only. Unlike virtually any other alternative, FragalyseQt beginning with version 0.5.2 has SOAP API making it suitable for LIMS integrations.

FragalyseQt source code repository is available at: https://github.com/Dorif/fragalyseqt

FragalyseQt reeases are here: https://github.com/Dorif/fragalyseqt/releases Packages for Ubuntu/Debian/ Astra/Fedora/ openSUSE 16+/openSUSE Tumbleweed/openSUSE Slowrolling/RHEL/Alma/Rocky/ROSA/AltLinux are available as of version 0.5.1

Why FragalyseQt is free? Because only free and open source software can be trully verifiable, but software used for high-stakes applications like CE data analysis MUST be verifiable, nobody should just trust it or somebody who certified it. Every user must have possibility to prove themself that software works just as intended.

In nearby future, FragalyseQt will receive STR profile storage and comparison capabilities. Stay tuned!
